  • November’s Gentle Memories

    November’s Gentle Memories

Grass and trees are starting to turn ember,
Early sweet kisses from the breeze as I remember.
Days when life was simple and easy in November,
When moments lasted longer and hearts had more to surrender.

The whispers of autumn gently pass through the air,
Reminding us of memories we once held dear.
Time keeps moving, taking seasons along,
Yet some memories remain where they belong.

Perhaps life’s greatest treasures are not things we remember,
But the feelings that return with each passing November.

  • The Canvas and I Are One

The Canvas and I Are One

    Canvas and I are one,
    Every stroke becomes my pen.
No painting can compare to none,
    For life itself creates again.

    The canvas holds a mirror,
    Reflecting what I cannot see.
It took years to draw nearer,
To understand the art of me.

    Through passing years, affection grew,
For every shade and every hue.
Until at last I came to see,
The hidden portrait was always me.

Slowly, I took the time to learn,
That every soul has art within.
A deeper meaning, we all yearn,
    A masterpiece beneath our skin.

    No other painting can compare,
No two reflections are the same.
For every life has art to share,
And every soul deserves its frame.

The canvas and I are one,
    Our masterpiece is never done.

  • What Is Seven?

    What Is Seven?

    Created
    Birth
    Cuddled
    Live
    Die
    Earth
    Again

    What is seven?
    Life’s quest,
    As we gaze at heaven,
    Seven.

  • After Emancipation, We Still Live in the Dark

After Emancipation, We Still Live in the Dark

After emancipation, yet in sin we live in the dark,
Our faith lies deep within the shadows, waiting for a spark.

Many think they’re truly living while the shadows silently lurk,
Believing they have found salvation, aboard an ark.

Bound by blood, we stand together,
Sharing this world through every storm and weather.

From birth upon this earth until the grave,
We carry our burdens, however we behave.

Perhaps these poetic verses may ignite a spark,
And awaken those still wandering blindly in the dark.

After emancipation, yet in sin we live in the dark.

  • The Heart’s Chalice

    The Heart’s Chalice

In my heart, there is no malice,
If you don’t believe, that’s callous.
My heart is not empty; here’s my chalice.

  • The Spots We Choose to See

The Spots We Choose to See

What lies within your innermost mind and heart?
Does a black or brown spot set you apart?

Is it a way to free your mind from limitation,
Or a judgment of others based on pigmentation?

If it’s for color or creed, that’s an abomination,
Yet some follow blindly, driven by affiliation.

With no thought of the harm their beliefs can create,
They judge what they see before it’s too late.

So whatever your spots, let love be your inspiration,
For what’s in your heart deserves admiration.

And whether you’re spotted or different in hue,
It’s the heart that defines you, not the spots others view.

  • Before the Grave

    Before the Grave

Thoughts of what awaits us before the grave,
Some claim they’ve never been a slave.
Yet from the womb, into this world we’re waived,
Each given a life, a path to pave.

Some lived their lives as though they were brave,
Others misbehaved, with little to save.
Some followed their passions, chasing what they crave,
While others fought battles, their souls to save.

Different our journeys, the choices we made,
Different the paths, the memories that fade.
Some sought fortune, while others sought fame,
Yet in the end, we’re equal all the same.

Whatever the life we chose to live,
Whatever we took or had to give,
One truth remains, no matter how we behave:
From dust to dust, we all return to the grave.

  • Some Changes In Life

    Some Changes In Life

Some changes in life need to be made,
Some changes in life are firm like a spade.

Oftentimes in this life, it’s hard to decide,
The choices we make, the paths we take, and the rules we abide.

    Unfortunately, these are life’s norms,
With twists and turns, and pressure that forms.

In the end, stay true to yourself,
Even when they view you as an elf.

    ‘Cause…

Some changes in life need to be made,
Some changes in life are firm like a spade.

  • Where Every Tale Begins

    Where Every Tale Begins

Many are the tales we tell,
Some rise from lives that fell.
    Others breathe their final breath,
    Carrying secrets beyond death.

Some are woven from unknown details,
Some drift like whispers through the veils.
Whatever the web of life unveils,
    Every story leaves its trails.

Some are truth, some are fables,
Some are written on broken tables.
    Some hold secrets time conceals,
Some reveal the pain one feels.

Through every twist, through every tale,
Through dreams that soar and hearts that fail,
One truth remains beneath the veil:
Every life has a story to tell.

  • An Autumn Prayer for Peace

    An Autumn Prayer for Peace

This is my inner prayer for all,
Find time to reflect as autumn leaves fall.
Look within your heart, let troubled thoughts cease,
Embrace the season, find comfort and peace.

Let go of sorrow, let gratitude grow,
Like leaves in the wind, let old burdens go.
For in every season, whatever we face,
May we find within ourselves a peaceful place.

    Reflection: Finding Peace in Autumn

Autumn reminds us that change is a natural part of life. As leaves fall and the world grows quieter, we can take a moment to reflect on our thoughts, release old burdens, and appreciate the peace that remains within us.

I wrote An Autumn Prayer for Peace as a reminder that gratitude and reflection can help us face life’s challenges with a calmer heart. My hope is that these words encourage you to pause, breathe, and discover a little more peace within yourself.

A thought to carry with you: What burden could you release today to make room for gratitude and peace?
