    {“rendered”:”Stolen Freedom By Sam Tumblin”}

    June 2, 2026

How are you going to colonize what was free, Generations of families and wildlife roaming endlessly?
Mothers separated from their young at birth, Ancient bonds scattered and pressed into the dirt.
Forests silenced where life once stirred, Countless stories buried, never heard.
Unfortunately, this is only centuries of hurt, Marked across the land by blood and work.
Many lie beneath the states we now traverse, Voiceless histories unable to rehearse.
Yet echoes remain in rivers and trees, Whispering reminders upon every breeze.
How are you going to claim what was never yours to own, When freedom itself was the first seed sown?

  • Black Is The Color Of Love By Sam Tumblin

Black Is The Color Of Love By Sam Tumblin

    June 2, 2026

Black Is the Color of Love

Black is the color of love,
a silent blessing sent from above.
A shade that comforts, deep and true,
holding secrets only a few knew.

All the times I bled upon the page,
through every sorrow, through every age,
    black remained beside my soul,
filling the fragments that made me whole.

Many fear what darkness may lack,
yet I find solace within the black.
For in the end, when all is said,
it carries the words my spirit bled.

Black is not the absence of light,
but the keeper of dreams beyond sight.
And when my final chapter is packed,
you may discover my insides were black.

Beyond The Veil By Sam Tumblin

    Beyond the Veil

Beyond the veil lies more than we see,
    Countless layers flowing endlessly.
Whispers of ages drift through the air,
    Echoes of wonders already there.

    Time intertwines with eternity,
    Threads of existence woven free.
    Shadows and light move gracefully,
Dancing through realms beyond what can be.

Beyond the veil lies more than we know,
    Rivers of truth forever flow.
Open your eyes and you may perceive,
    The hidden dimensions few believe.

Entwined as one, yet vast as the sea,
Past, present, and what is yet to be.
Beyond the veil lies more than we see,
    Infinite wonders through eternity.

    Better Days By Sam Tumblin

    Better Days

I think we’re all tired of the wars we see,
Malnutrition across the world refuses to flee.
Random outbursts and acts of crime,
Many work hard yet can’t save a dime.

Born into a world with visions carefree,
Till bills and life’s ills multiply by three.
Burdens grow heavy as the years pass by,
While many still wonder and question why.

Yet hope remains beyond the haze,
A brighter dawn beyond today’s grays.
One day we’ll see far better days,
A world at peace, no longer dismayed.

    Mirror’s Truth By Sam Tumblin

    Mirror’s Truth

Each day before the glass we stand,
Tracing the years with weathered hands.
Do we admire the face we wear,
Or hide from truths reflected there?

Echoes of laughter, nights of cheer,
Still linger softly from another year.
Some fleeting moments leave a scar,
Reminders of who we truly are.

Many wish the mirror faced behind,
    Leaving old reflections undefined.
Yet every path we choose to steer
Brings us closer to seeing clear.

One glance at a time the image grows,
Revealing more than the surface shows.
Until this vessel fades from view,
And the mirror reflects someone new.

  • What Do You See? By Sam Tumblin

What Do You See? By Sam Tumblin

    May 29, 2026

    What Do You See?

Look in these eyes and tell me what you see,
Years of love, fears, and tears, sometimes felt free.
Scars from battles hidden deep within,
Memories of losses as well as wins.

Moments of laughter carried by the breeze,
Dreams once planted beneath towering trees.
Roads once traveled, some crooked, some straight,
Lessons learned from fortune and from fate.

Look in these eyes and you’ll surely find,
A soul still searching with an open mind.
Though time has etched its mark on me,
Hope remains for all that’s yet to be.

  • Cranium Ink By Sam Tumblin

    Cranium Ink By Sam Tumblin

    May 28, 2026

    Cranium Ink

I gave you my hopes and dreams,
Tears of pain and all in-between.
Cranium ink is what I stream,
A tattered black quill — my queen.

    Indigo blood, I’ll never depart,
    Schematic movements play their part.
Uncanny souls — we simply be,
Cranium ink is all of me.

Through fractured thoughts and hollow skies,
I carved my truth where silence lies.
Each dripping verse, each shadowed plea,
Became the chains that set me free.

    Ink-stained hands and weary eyes,
    Feeding poems to midnight skies.
From broken veins these words still sink,
A soul baptized in cranium ink.

Fair Weather Souls By Sam Tumblin

    May 28, 2026

Many say they walk your walk
Many say they talk your talk
When skies are clear, your soul they stalk
But storms arrive — they cease to walk

    Promises fade like autumn rain
Loyalty lost when there is pain
    Voices loud when fortune shines
    Silent hearts in darker times

    Smiles appear when tables turn
    Yet disappear when bridges burn
True colors rise without a sound
When your whole world comes crashing down

Many claim they know your road
Until you bear a heavy load
For when the night consumes the day
Most of those shadows drift away
