Take Your  Mind by Sam Tumblin | SAM TUMBLIN

    TAKE YOUR MIND

To take your mind right here would be my best cheer

    Your mind taken
    far away from here

    Be a treat of mines

To throw infinite blows to your
    mind

    Mind bending highs and lows

    Leaving you thoughtless blows

Like a kiss from a stranger

    I’ll return your mind back

With all of your physical being intact

    Just with your mind
    enlightened

    Inner thoughts brightened

    Senses heightened

To take your mind right here
    would be my best cheer…

Your mind taken far away from here

    Still Something to Achieve

    by Sam Tumblin

The world feels heavy more each day,
Too many hearts just fade away.
    Sirens cry through sleepless nights,
    Darkness swallowing distant lights.

Wars are fought for hollow gain,
    Leaving families wrapped in pain.
Greed moves quiet through every street,
    Stealing hope from tired feet.

Some walk lost with vacant eyes,
    Searching truth through endless lies.
    Others drown in silent grief,
    Holding on beyond belief.

Yet somewhere through the deepest ache,
A restless soul begins to wake.
Not every scar was made to stay,
Not every shadow blocks the day.

You still breathe, your heart still beats,
There are roads beneath your feet.
There are dreams not touched or seen,
Places your soul has never been.

So rise even when hope feels thin,
    Let tomorrow slowly begin.
The world may bend beneath the strain,
But purpose still survives the pain.

What is left in life to achieve?
More than sorrow would have you believe.
Hold on tight through all you endure,
There is still something worth fighting for.

    Stillness Between Storms

by Sam Tumblin | SAM TUMBLIN

When life becomes too much to hold,
And every breath begins to fold,
    Sit quietly and drift somewhere
Beyond the weight of restless air.

Do not rush to fight the flame,
Not every sorrow speaks your name,
Some troubles fade without a sound
When silence is the only ground.

Lean back beneath the passing sky,
Watch weary thoughts go wandering by,
For peace is found more often there
Inside the depth of a distant stare.

The world may shake, the night may roam,
Yet stillness can become a home,
    A quiet place beyond despair
Where hearts survive by simply staring.

The Weight of a Quiet Stare

by Sam Tumblin | SAM TUMBLIN

Whenever life feels too heavy to bear,
Find yourself a silence and simply stare.
Not every storm deserves your despair,
Some fade away in the stillness there.

The mind may race with endless noise,
    Breaking peace and stealing joys,
Yet calm can soften sharpened air,
    Healing hearts unaware.

There is power in pausing the day,
    Letting restless thoughts drift away,
For troubles often lose their glare
When met with one untroubled stare.

So when the world becomes unfair,
    And burdens gather everywhere,
Sit back gently in your chair,
And breathe beside the quiet air.

The Quietest Love Song by Sam Tumblin | SAM TUMBLIN

    The Quietest Love Song

    by Sam Tumblin

    The finest love song

    is not always sung aloud.

    Sometimes it lives

    inside an empty room,

    where silence wraps itself

    around weary thoughts

    like a soft evening cloud.

    Being alone

    can sharpen the spirit,

    teaching the heart

    how to stand without applause.

    Let the world question you.

    Let them misunderstand.

    Not every path

    needs permission to bloom.

    For in the stillness,

    between doubt and dawn,

    you slowly discover

    where your soul belongs.

  • The Weight of a Name Poetry in Every Breath by Sam Tumblin

The Weight of a Name Poetry in Every Breath by Sam Tumblin

What’s really hidden in a name,
A whispered hope for lasting fame,
Lofty dreams we try to claim,
A spark alive within the flame.

    Maybe innocence at the start,
A newborn echo, pure of heart,
Or silent wounds that pull apart,
Leaving shadows like a work of art.

Could a name become our shame,
Or fuel the fire we cannot tame,
    Searching deeply through the frame,
Still wondering if we are the same.

So many thoughts a name can bring,
    Questions tied to everything,
Yet only ink can softly sing
The truths our restless spirits cling.

  • Every Breath the Raven Takes – A Poem by Sam Tumblin

Every Breath the Raven Takes – A Poem by Sam Tumblin

Every Breath the Raven Takes by Sam Tumblin

Where do the ravens go when darkness falls?Do they slip into shadows along hidden walls,Finding corners where silence clings,Away from the weight that daylight brings?

Where do the ravens wander by day?Do they rise where the blue meets endless gray,Gliding high in a sky so wide,With secrets carried on every glide?

The raven—creature of shadow and flame,Neither bound nor wholly the same,A soul that shifts between dark and light,Breathing freely through day and night.

In every breath the raven takes,A path between two worlds it makes—Unbound by sky, untouched by sea,A dark-winged spirit, forever free.
