Every Breath the Raven Takes – A Poem by Sam Tumblin

Every Breath the Raven Takes by Sam Tumblin

Where do the ravens go when darkness falls?Do they slip into shadows along hidden walls,Finding corners where silence clings,Away from the weight that daylight brings?

Where do the ravens wander by day?Do they rise where the blue meets endless gray,Gliding high in a sky so wide,With secrets carried on every glide?

The raven—creature of shadow and flame,Neither bound nor wholly the same,A soul that shifts between dark and light,Breathing freely through day and night.

In every breath the raven takes,A path between two worlds it makes—Unbound by sky, untouched by sea,A dark-winged spirit, forever free.
