fainting moments the mind fades

past haunting of memory shades

buried beneath the cranium with a spade

in those moments it pierces like a blade

but in a second those moments I trade

with thoughts of the present allayed

leaving haunting thoughts betrayed

living in the past can be a blockade

can’t move forward in life decayed

so if you ever feel dismayed

we all have haunting memories to evade
