By Eye Is the Path I Walk

By eye is the path I walk,
Steadily through darkness I stalk,
Past woes and anguish, I balk,
Holding my laments as I walk.

Through shadows where the lost souls talk,
I carry my burdens, step by step,
Though weary feet may stumble and stop,
My heart still whispers, do not drop.

For somewhere beyond this endless dark,
There waits a flame, a distant spark.
And though the night may leave its mark,
I lift my eyes and search the arc.

Through every sorrow, every shock,
Through every wound that time can’t block,
I keep moving around the clock—
For by eye is the path I walk.
