Every Breath the Raven Takes – A Poem by Sam Tumblin

    May 5, 2026

Every Breath the Raven Takes by Sam Tumblin

Where do the ravens go when darkness falls?Do they slip into shadows along hidden walls,Finding corners where silence clings,Away from the weight that daylight brings?

Where do the ravens wander by day?Do they rise where the blue meets endless gray,Gliding high in a sky so wide,With secrets carried on every glide?

The raven—creature of shadow and flame,Neither bound nor wholly the same,A soul that shifts between dark and light,Breathing freely through day and night.

In every breath the raven takes,A path between two worlds it makes—Unbound by sky, untouched by sea,A dark-winged spirit, forever free.

  • Where May Begins

    Where May Begins

    May 4, 2026

Where May begins, the light feels new,A softer sky, a brighter hue.The air hums low with gentle sound,As life awakens all around.

A steady breeze moves leaf and tree,
    Like whispered notes of melody.
It carries warmth, yet lingers cool,
A perfect balance, calm and full.

The birds compose the day’s first song,A place where hearts can still belong. Each wing that cuts through open airReminds us something good is there.

No rush, no race, no need to stray,Just quiet peace within the day.For in this time, so fresh, so free,May gives us space to simply be.

Take a moment today—what small beauty did you notice? 🌱

  • May In Motion

    May In Motion

    May 4, 2026

The month of May arrives with grace,A gentle wind, a soft embrace.Cool breezes whisper through the day,Inviting hearts to drift and stay.

The skies glow bright with golden sun,A season’s joy has just begun.Birds take flight in endless blue,Their songs feel fresh, their freedom true.

Each moment hums with life anew,In every shade of vibrant hue. From dawn’s first light to evening’s glow,There’s quiet beauty all we know.

Oh, May—so simple, yet so bright,A world alive in pure delight. In every breath, in all we see,The month of May just lets us be.

  • The Breath We Borrow: A Poem About Life, Truth, and Time

The Breath We Borrow: A Poem About Life, Truth, and Time

    May 1, 2026

We enter life but once, a fragile start,
Drawn in by breath, the rhythm of the heart.
Each inhale writes a moment into time,
A quiet pulse, a subtle, sacred rhyme.

We wander through the days, unaware,
Of borrowed air we breathe without a care.
In fleeting thoughts, in patterns we repeat,
We mask the truths beneath our restless feet.

Yet in the hush between each rise and fall,
There lingers something whispering to all—
A call to wake before the final breath,
To face the silent weight we name as death.

For life is more than drifting unaware,
It asks for truth, for courage laid bare.
Not just to breathe, but see what we dismiss—
The quiet cost, the unnoticed abyss.

And when the final breath begins to cease,
May we have met ourselves and found our peace.
