What Do You See? By Sam Tumblin

What Do You See?

Look in these eyes and tell me what you see,
Years of love, fears, and tears, sometimes felt free.
Scars from battles hidden deep within,
Memories of losses as well as wins.

Moments of laughter carried by the breeze,
Dreams once planted beneath towering trees.
Roads once traveled, some crooked, some straight,
Lessons learned from fortune and from fate.

Look in these eyes and you’ll surely find,
A soul still searching with an open mind.
Though time has etched its mark on me,
Hope remains for all that’s yet to be.
