Some things take a lifetime to mend,
Some things, for eternity, never bend.

Poetry In Every Breath By Sam Tumblin

What if life could grant a moment of grace, Where trouble and sorrow surrender their place? No burdens to carry, no battles to fight, Just breathing in freedom and feeling all right.
Drifting on clouds where the blue skies unfold, Far from the chaos, the rush, and the cold. Where yesterday’s worries no longer exist, And peace wraps around you like morning mist.
Is it a glitch when the heart feels no pain, When sunshine breaks through after endless rain? When thoughts become gentle, the mind becomes still, And happiness settles without force or will.
No weight on your shoulders, no fear of what’s next, No battles with fate, no soul feeling vexed. Just you and your thoughts in a world of your own, A sanctuary of peace where your spirit feels home.
Is it a glitch when the world fades away, And you find yourself smiling without reason today? When life isn’t pulling you in every direction, And your soul finds a moment of pure resurrection?
If this is a glitch, then let it remain, Let me savor the calm, let me silence the pain. Don’t shake me awake, don’t shatter the dream— Let me float in this peace, where life flows like a stream.
And if happiness comes without warning or switch, Perhaps peace isn’t a glitch— Perhaps it’s life giving back what we missed.

Sometimes the truth is hard to confess,
When love strikes deep and leaves a mess.
You’ve given your heart to what seemed the best,
Now shattered emotions refuse to rest.
Your heart lies scattered, chewed and torn,
A soul once hopeful, now bruised and worn.
You lose your direction, forget where to go,
Trapped in a silence nobody can know.
Sometimes the truth is hard to confess,
When love leaves you broken and dispossessed.
Your lips fall silent, your voice locked away,
With nothing left of the words you would say.
Love lands its punches, round after round,
Until your spirit lies flat on the ground.
You’ve loved and lost; you’ve played that part,
Yet nothing prepares you for a broken heart.
Your pulse may be racing, but deep inside,
A part of your soul has retreated to hide.
Sometimes the truth is hard to confess,
When love strikes deep and leaves a mess.
Don’t bow your head as though you’re less,
Love makes no promise of happiness.
We’re all made of flesh, of hope and desire,
All capable of burning in love’s fierce fire.
No matter our color, our choices, our name,
The ache of a broken heart feels the same.
Love climbs through the mind like a dangerous vine,
Stealing our reason, blurring the line.
We search for a spell, a cure, or a sign,
Some magic to heal what we cannot define.
But love has no formula, no guaranteed end,
Sometimes the heart must break to mend.
Sometimes the truth is hard to confess,
When you’ve been consumed by love’s excess.
Your heart may be shredded, your compass undone,
Your brightest days hidden from the sun.
But wounds can grow wisdom, and tears can set free,
The person you were before love’s mystery.
For we’ve all been smitten, some harder than the rest,
And learned that love can put the soul to the test.
So stand when you stumble, let healing progress—
For even the strongest have loved to excess.
Sometimes it’s hard to confess,
But we’ve all been smitten beyond reason’s best.

Black is the color of the raven, Some say it has no heart, so it’s forever brazen. With feathers dark as midnight’s veil, It carries secrets no words can unveil.
A beak of steel to penetrate the fray, Razor-sharp talons to tear and rend away. Its eyes burn bright with a shadowed stare, As if it knows the secrets we fear to share.
It glides through skies where darkness reigns, A silent witness to sorrow and pain. Perched upon branches, a harbinger of dread, Whispering tales of the living and dead.
But who can judge what lies within, Beneath those feathers, black as sin? Perhaps a heart beats beneath that disguise, With mysteries hidden from mortal eyes.
So fear not the raven for its darkened hue, For appearances rarely reveal what is true. Even in darkness, where shadows depart, Who knows what beats in the raven’s heart?

Day or night, I still see
What many close their eyes to hide,
They only look when there’s a fee,
With greed and selfishness as their guide.
They turn away from another’s pain,
Unless there’s something they can gain,
Their hearts grow cold, their souls grow weak,
While truth remains too hard to speak.
They wear a smile, conceal their greed,
And offer kindness when there’s need,
But scratch the surface, look within,
And you may find the face of sin.
For I see things that others ignore,
The silent battles behind closed doors,
The hands that take, the hearts that steal,
The wounds concealed beneath what’s real.
I’d rather stand where truth is found,
Than sell my soul for higher ground,
For wealth will fade, and riches flee,
But character reveals what’s underneath.
Day or night, I’ll keep my sight,
And stand for truth against the night,
For the wretched ways I despise
Are those that blind the heart and eyes.

At some point in life, we all walk a darkened path,
Where shattered dreams leave wounds in their aftermath.
When troubles make us tremble and our souls begin to quiver,
We feel the weight of sorrow, wondering how we will deliver.
The scars of pain run deep, leaving anger in their wake,
As we struggle with the burdens that seem too much to take.
But when the shadows gather and the world obscures our light,
We must decide to stand our ground or surrender to the night.
For darkness may surround us, but it need not win the fight,
And even wounded spirits can rise again to reach the light.
Though life may leave us broken with memories that linger,
We can choose to heal our hearts instead of letting pain grow stronger.
So when you face the darkness and feel you’ve lost your way,
Remember, storms don’t last forever, and night gives birth to day.
You can fall beneath the weight of all the sorrow you endure,
Or stand tall, reclaim your strength, and let your healing be the cure.

Now they come knocking, wanting a share,
The same ones who vanished when nobody cared.
We climbed through the struggle, endured every scar,
Now they recognize who we really are.
We shine through the darkness, we stand in our light,
Kept pushing through days when the future looked tight.
Life offered no cushion, no easy way through,
Just lessons in pain and the strength to renew.
Deception wore smiles, and trust came at cost,
We learned to keep moving through all that we lost.
Remember the days when our dreams stood alone,
When nobody cheered for the seeds we had sown?
Now they come knocking, impressed by the climb,
As if they were there through the hardest of times.
But success tells a story that struggle began,
And the crown means much more when you know what you ran.
So let them come calling, let them applaud,
We know what it took to get this far.
We earned every lesson, each step, every scar—
We built our own future; we know who we are.

Why do we write, what stories do we seek,
Perhaps the words we cannot always speak?
We dream of beginnings with endings so bright,
Creating our worlds through the stillness of night.
A child looks forward with wonder and eyes wide,
While years move quietly, with time as our guide.
The laughter of youth slowly turns into years,
And memories gather through triumphs and tears.
We once chased tomorrow, believing it stayed,
Never imagining how quickly it fades.
The hands of the clock never pause or rewind,
Leaving yesterday somewhere behind.
Yet life is a story we all get to write,
Some pages are dark, while others shine bright.
So treasure each chapter, both old and brand new,
For the ending is shaped by the things that we do.
And when the last page of our story is near,
May love be the words that remain crystal clear.
For life isn’t measured by where we began—
But by what we leave in the hearts of our fellow man.
