Embrace The Void By Sam Tumblin

Embrace the Void

Why be frightened of the dark,
When daylight leaves the deepest mark?
Your eyes are open, wide awake,
So peer beyond the fear you make.

Inhale the air you once would flee,
Let shadows wrap you peacefully.
Feel the cold mist kiss your face,
As silver droplets fall and race.

Within the dark your sight may cease,
Yet in that blindness blooms a peace.
No torment here, no endless cries,
Just silent calm beneath black skies.

When life becomes too loud to bear,
And heavy thoughts consume the air,
Close your eyes for just a while,
Release the weight, the endless trial.

Look to the darkness deep inside,
The quiet place where fears reside.
Then breathe, and let your spirit be,
Escaping briefly — wild and free.
