Eager Eyes of the Raven
Eager are the eyes that come at will,
Drifting through the shadows to satisfy their thrill.
The raven comes and goes beyond the hill,
Lingering only as long as it wishes still.
Endless are the whims it seeks to fulfill,
Darkened pupils silent, lifeless, and chill.
It answers to no master, signs no bill,
A creature of the darkness, roaming at its will.
Through moonlit silence it watches until
The night itself grows heavy and still.
Not a care in the world, no burden to instill,
For darkness is its kingdom, and mystery its thrill.
