CAGED THOUGHTS

Sorry if I seem to contradict,
saying my thoughts are caged like a convict,
but my lips seem to evict
every thought and whim my mind depicts.

Even if your heart I want to inspire and inflict,
bring you into my world where words interconnect,
where imagination becomes the intellect,
and every hidden feeling I resurrect.

Let my vowels become the keys
that unlock what your heart wants to see,
let every syllable pull you near,
until my thoughts become crystal clear.

And if my words somehow affect,
leaving your heart feeling more connected,
then perhaps I never really contradicted—
I simply gave my caged thoughts
a voice you couldn’t resist.
