What’s a million strong
In the end if you don’t belong,
Kind of like a stolen, uncopyrighted song,
Only can claim it for self and be left along.

A million voices may sing along,
But silence can tell you where you belong.
You can stand in a crowd your whole life long,
And still feel like something inside is wrong.

Maybe belonging isn’t being among
A million people who sing your song,
But finding one place where your heart grows strong—
Where you can finally say,
“This is where I belong.”
