Fair Weather Souls By Sam Tumblin

Many say they walk your walk
Many say they talk your talk
When skies are clear, your soul they stalk
But storms arrive — they cease to walk

Promises fade like autumn rain
Loyalty lost when there is pain
Voices loud when fortune shines
Silent hearts in darker times

Smiles appear when tables turn
Yet disappear when bridges burn
True colors rise without a sound
When your whole world comes crashing down

Many claim they know your road
Until you bear a heavy load
For when the night consumes the day
Most of those shadows drift away
