  • ENTOMBED

    ENTOMBED

I asked you to set me free,
    To escape this endless misery.
For sometimes love becomes a prison,
Where hope is buried without reason.

It’s better now to walk away,
Than beg for one more empty day.
    Entombed within a silent heart,
    Knowing we were worlds apart.

The echoes linger in my soul,
Leaving wounds that time can’t console.
Though memories knock upon my door,
    I cannot live there anymore.

So let the silence have its say,
    As fading shadows drift away.
    For freedom often wears disguise,
    Hidden behind tear-filled eyes.

I’ll carry scars that time has sewn,
Yet walk this road on my own.
    Not every ending is defeat—
    Sometimes surrender is retreat.

If ever our paths should cross again,
May there be no lingering pain.
Only gratitude for what once grew,
And strength for all we’ve both been through.

  • IF ONLY YESTERDAY STILL LIVED

    IF ONLY YESTERDAY STILL LIVED

I wish back for those days When your smile would greet the morning light, A single glance from your beautiful face Could make the darkest hours feel bright.

My heart would race at a fevered pace, Unable to hide the joy inside. Every moment beside you Felt like the turning of the tide.

I love you in a thousand different ways, With every sunrise and every night. In whispered dreams and silent prayers, You remain my guiding light.

If time would grant one precious gift, I’d ask for nothing more to prove, Than one more chance to hold your hand And wrap our souls in endless love.

Though seasons change and years may pass, My devotion will never stray. Girl, forever is where I belong— Forever, I want you to stay.

So if these words should find your heart, Know every verse is true. No matter where this life may lead, My favorite place will always be with you.
