Our eyes slowly met as we gazed,
as the world around us faded into a haze.
Seeing a carnival of love like a maze,
both our hearts on fire, an unquenched blaze.
Wishing we could stay here forever,
even through the moments of malaise.
But for now, we have to part,
and go our separate ways.
