BREAKING THE CYCLE
Another morning calls my name,
another sunrise, still the same.
I chase the hours I cannot hold,
while yesterday repeats its role.
The clock keeps turning without regret,
counting the moments I haven’t lived yet.
I trade my time for another day,
then wonder where my dreams got away.
The road I’ve walked has left its scars,
but every wrong turn brought me this far.
Some paths were never meant to stay,
they only taught me another way.
I hear the world telling me who to be,
but somewhere inside, there’s still a voice in me.
It whispers softly beneath the noise,
reminding my heart I still have a choice.
So let the clock keep moving on,
let yesterday fade with the dawn.
I don’t have to repeat what I’ve known—
I can build a different road of my own.
Life isn’t measured by punches of time,
or every mountain we struggle to climb.
Sometimes the greatest thing we can do
is stop the cycle and start something new.
I may have wandered, I may have been wrong,
but those lost roads helped make me strong.
And when tomorrow calls my name,
I won’t answer it by living the same.
