For real love, many take the leap,
Crossing oceans, waters wide and deep.
Giving their hearts, their promises to keep,
Never imagining the wounds they may reap.

Then there are those who begin with love,
Only to find it wasn’t enough.
Thinking the feelings were mutual and true,
While a wolf wore the disguise of someone they knew.

Still, treasure the good times and hold them within,
For every beautiful moment has somewhere to begin.
Keep what was genuine, let bitterness sleep,
For life makes no promises that tomorrow will keep.

Love while you can, and cherish each day,
Because no one knows what tomorrow may say.
The heart may awaken from dreams while asleep,
And discover some moments were never ours to keep.
