THE SWEETNESS WE CREATE
Love isn’t something found in a hurry,
or gathered from a passing glance,
it grows slowly in the places
where two hearts choose another chance.
Like honey hidden in the comb,
sweetness takes its time to form,
through restless days and troubled nights,
through every rain and every storm.
The bee doesn’t question every flower,
it simply searches, then believes,
turning what it finds along the way
into something hearts can finally receive.
Maybe we could learn from that—
to stop and build instead of flee,
to work through what has come undone,
and find the sweetness underneath.
For love is more than perfect moments,
more than words we say when things are right.
It’s choosing not to walk away
when darkness interrupts the light.
So let us gather what remains,
repair the cracks and start anew,
because the sweetest things in life
are often made by me and you.
